Our RJ45 to 110 Shielded Category 5e keystone jack is designed to support 1000 Base-T Ethernet over copper. Color coded 110 clips make wire termination fast and simple and a fully shielded interface protects data from EMI/RFI interference and feature the appropriate color code for either 568A or 568B terminations. Category 5e Keystone jacks snap into a wall plate, surface mount box or keystone patch panel to provide a termination point for backbone/horizontal network wiring. Keystone style jacks are designed to snap into any standard keystone port with no tools required. Category 5e is a high speed networking standard, providing a backbone for transmission speeds up to 1000 Base-T and is backwards compatible with both 10 Base-T and 100 Base-T.
Category 5e cable is used in structured cabling for computer networks. The cable provides performance of up to 100 MHz and is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-T, and 1000BASE-T for distances of up to 100 meters.
Network cabling standards are used internationally and are published by ISO/IEC, CENELEC and the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). Since 1995, solid-conductor UTP cables for backbone cabling is required to be no thicker than 22 AWG and no thinner than 24 AWG, or 26 AWG for shorter-distance cabling.
